Claim Information

If you have a claim to report, you should first try to reach us during normal business hours.

If it is after hours and someone is injured, it would be best to contact your insurance carrier as soon as possible.  If you do report the claim to the company, we do ask that you call to inform us of the claim as well.

If your property is damaged:

1. Take reasonable steps to protect the property from further damage. Keep receipts for items purchased while making temporary repairs to protect your property such as tarps, wood, nails. Do not make any permanent repairs until an adjuster has inspected the property.

2. Report the claim to our office. If you are not able to reach our office, contact the company directly at the appropriate number listed below. These numbers are available 24 hours a day. If you end up calling your claim in directly to the company, we do ask that you still contact our office as soon as possible to inform us about your claim. If your company is not listed below, you will need to file the claim through our office.

3. Separate damaged and undamaged property. In order to complete a full assessment of the loss, your adjuster will need to see all damaged property. If possible, place damaged items in a secure area where they can be inspected. If you are unsure about any item, please include it with the damaged property.

4. Determine the damage done to your property. Make a written list of what was damaged and take pictures. Try to be as accurate as possible with your personal property (contents) and include name brand and model.

5. If necessary, rent temporary shelter. If your home is uninhabitable, most homeowners policies pay additional living expenses while your property is being repaired. Before renting temporary shelter, check with the insurance company or our office to determine what expenses will be reimbursed.

6. Make sure to record your claim number, your adjuster's name and their contact information.

If you are in an auto accident:

1. Move out of the way of traffic to a safe location.

2. Contact the authorities and stay on the scene until police arrive.

3. Do not discuss the details of the accident with anyone other than the police and your insurance company. Do not admit fault.

4. Gather the following information: names, addresses, drivers license number, insurance information, contact information of everyone involved in the accident and any witnesses.

5. Report the claim to our office. If it is after hours, contact the number listed below.
